Designer Miranda Watkins creates innovative, contemporary designs for interiors, from domestic tabletop products to large-scale structures for public spaces. Her minimalist designs are produced in a range of high-grade materials including : metal, plastic, wood and glass.

The complete collection comprises : mobiles, light installations, wall panels, furniture, tabletop products and jewellery. All interior pieces are made to commission and are frequently adapted to create unique site-specific designs.

Miranda collaborates with interior designers and architectural practices around the world on site-specific projects for both private and corporate clients. She also works as a design consultant to retailers and manufacturers on a variety of projects.

Miranda Watkins Design is based on the banks of the River Thames in central London. The showroom has a permanent display of Miranda’s work, where she is available by appointment for consultation.

All designs are made in Great Britain.

Miranda Watkins brief biography
Miranda Watkins has an MA from The Royal College of Art, London. She was originally trained in metalwork and jewellery and has a comprehensive knowledge of metals and metalwork techniques. She worked extensively in the international film industry creating costume props and special effects costumes for many high profile films. Miranda won a Sainsbury’s scholarship with which she established her own design studio and showroom at The OXO Tower, central London in 1998. Following a series of successful collections, Miranda was appointed ‘Metals Designer’ for Calvin Klein, New York in 2000. Returning to London in 2002 to focus on her own projects, she continued as a senior design consultant for Calvin Klein. Established in 2003, Miranda Watkins Design presents collections of contemporary products and artworks. Often crossing the boundaries between design and art, the complete collection comprises; kinetic mobiles, elegant light installations, furniture, tabletop products and jewellery.

Miranda collaborates with interior designers and architectural practices around the world on site-specific projects, for both private and corporate clients. She also works as a design consultant to retailers and manufacturers, on a range of projects including; lighting, product design and jewellery.

Miranda has exhibited in New York and London, with work placed in the following permanent collections : Royal Institute of British Architects Silver Collection (London), Kensington Palace (London), Pallant House Gallery (Chichester).

She has created large-scale artworks and designs for corporate and private clients in USA, Japan, Canada, Australia, Dubai and Europe.
